Zermatt in Switzerland

Zermatt lies at upper end of Matter Valley at an elevation of 1,620 meters at the foot of Switzerland's highest peak. This mountain resort is crossed bye the Matter Vispa River wich rises at the glaciers of highest peaks wich are Gorner Glacier and Zmutt Glacier.
The population in Zermatt is about 5.600 peoples (most of them speaks german) and is a wonderful resort wich by default attracts many tourist around the globe as possible .
The name Zermatt or of Matterhorn itself come from the alpines meadows or matten from german in the valley and first time the name was Zur Matte and later became Zermatt. The village was discovered in the 19th century by the british mountaineers and one of the most important of them was Edward Wymper and thanks to him this resort is so recognized around the world, but more about this story you can find it in the Matterhorn Museum . If you are tourist and dont you want drive your own car, in Zermatt you have the opportunity to take the bus or train if you travel from a nearby town. The entire city is protected from polution to try to keep a fresh and healthy air much as possible andto do that they use electric cars and buses to arrive in Zermatt place where is car-free that mean you just admire the city walking down the streets.
As a religion peoples from here are over 70% roman catholics at Swiss Reformed Church and rest of them orthodox and just very very few people with another religions wich belives in Buddha or Allah.
